31° BRASS BAND FRENCH OPEN – May 28-29-30 2027

2027, LET BRASS BANDS SHINE IN AMBOISE

With a flamboyant anniversary edition that took place on June 5 – 6 and 7, 2026 with the exceptional participation of the international trumpet virtuoso Sergei Nakariakov, and the Italian military band Bersaglieri from Abbiategrasso (near Milan) which enchanted the emblematic sites of the city of Amboise while offering an exceptional visual show. Indeed, they are the only ones in the world to play by parading at a running pace.

The 2026 French Open was a great success and contributes to anchoring and developing this unique musical movement born in the United Kingdom, thanks to international meeting and competition.

The competition, led by a prestigious jury, brought together passionate brass and percussion ensembles.

Entertainment was provided throughout the weekend by “La Banda Jean” and “Les Bersaglieri”.

This 30th edition brought together eight ensembles for the enchantment of the spectators: Three French ensembles, 3 British ensembles, an Italian military band and a Banda. The closing Gala given by the Carlton Main Frickley Colliery Band who shared the stage with Sergei Nakariakov for three plays, including the famous Venice Carnival being simply grandiose.

Amboise will see the return of this flagship event on 28 – 29 and 30 May 2027.
